French Ambassador to Nigeria, Jerome Pasquier, has commended the investment potentials of Abia State, describing them as attractive, just as Governor Okezie Ikpeazu sought collaboration with the French Government to invest in the state.

Describing Abia as one of the potentially most viable states in Nigeria to invest in, Pasquier said France was favourably disposed to collaborating with the state, stressing that agriculture and technical education being canvassed by the state government could attract French investors to the state.

During Pasquier’s visit to his state, Ikpeazu specifically sought collaboration with the French Government in agriculture and technical education, saying his government would provide interested French investors the required support and an enabling environment. Ikpeazu, who told the French Ambassador that various investment opportunities abound in the state especially in the Enyimba Economic City project, also intimated him of plans to build a Youth Eco-System where Abia Children could acquire various skills that would enable them to fit into the technological demands of the 21st century.

Hinging the success of every venture on education, Governor Ikpeazu underscored his administration’s focus on technical education and urged the French government to partner with the state in that regard.
