As Victoria braces for news of an extended lockdown, one business says it won’t survive if restrictions continue for weeks longer.

Hamed Allahyari, 32, opened his Melbourne restaurant Cafe Sunshine & Salama Tea Housetwo years ago and said it had been a “very hard” time last year.He said he lost $4000 last week due to the announcement of Victoria’s seven-day snap lockdown as his 32-seat restaurant was fully booked on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Last year he said JobKeeper helped to pay rent and wages at the restaurant but he basically worked for free. “Just as the Federal Government provides disaster recovery payments to people who have been the victims of bushfire or flood, it should provide pandemic recovery income support, including a pandemic disaster-recovery payment, for people who have lost paid work,” Dr Goldie said.Hamed says he can only survive for three weeks without government assistance if lockdown is extended.

Unfortunately, there will be many more & I feel for them. If you can get up and get out of Vic good idea 💡

Of course businesses won't survive. The new party of the workers is absolutely clueless about what to do. Even about the stuff it DID yesterday. C'mon, Rupert, don't send mixed signals to ScottyFromMarketing. You know he always gets it wrong unless you S.P.E.L.L it out.

the business model for online child grooming for pics, however, gets a big fat boost from DETVic and CCYPVictoria, especially when kids are online all day, and no one in these govt bodies warns any parents their kids can be directly contacted for fun and good times - thanks!
