The Lagos State Government has met with stakeholders on Ito-Omu community and its environs in the Ibeju-Lekki and Epe local government areas to develop the area to attract investment opportunities.

The General Manager, New Towns Development Authority, Mr Olakunle Aboyeji, made this known on Thursday while meeting with government ministries and consultants. Aboyeji noted that the Ito-Omu project was conceived by the NTDA to decongest the metropolis in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S sgenda to create satellite towns that would facilitate the development of the rural areas.

He said, “The administration of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was particularly in support of the development of Ito-Omu community project because of its anticipated benefits. It will compete with modern cities and open the state to more investment opportunities, which will address unemployment and other infrastructural deficit in the state.”

The representatives of the various government agencies at the meeting expressed optimism about the project, stating that they were ready to pull their wealth of experiences together to ensure its delivery.

They want to grab people's lands, develop & resell to themselves & other greedy billionaires in their cycle.

Our economy needs more manufacturing industries. This will increase our GDP exponentially & create jobs not these elephant project houses & hotels that the common man cannot afford all in the guide of providing jobs.

When the Old City is a complete mess , you are planning a new one - good luck with that
