The Transport Minister said topics raised during a virtual dialogue session included the reopening of driving institutes and other issues affecting express bus operators, who are still unable to operate fully.
"Proposals involving these two sectors will be discussed in detail with the Health Ministry, Finance Ministry and the National Security Council to find solutions to the issues that have plagued the industry as they are still unable to operate due to the Covid-19 pandemic."The Transport Ministry will make an announcement on this matter after holding discussions with the relevant ministries," he said in a Facebook post on Sunday .
Key players who took part in the session included Road Transport Department deputy director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli, Malaysian Driving Industry Standards and Modernisation Council chairman Datuk Hanafi Mat Zin, Malaysian Driving Training Centre Operators Association chairman Tan Yang Kiong and secretary Teo Kock Kee as well as the Malaysian Driving Institute Association president Mat Aris Bakar.
Also represented were the Malaysian Express Bus Operators Organisation, Pan Malaysia Bus Operators Association and Peninsular Malaysia Malay Express Bus Operators Association.
