SolarEdge shares dipped in extended trading on Tuesday after the company's third-quarter revenue feel short of expectations.

. SolarEdge posted record revenue for the period, but the number fell short of expectations and sent the stock tumbling.

The third-quarter results compare with adjusted EPS of $1.28 per share on revenue of $480 million in Q2, and $1.21 on revenue of $338 million in the year-ago quarter. SolarEdge said it expects fourth-quarter revenue to be between $530 million and $560 million. Wall Street analysts were looking for $554 million, according to estimates compiled by StreetAccount.
