The renewal and application of business permits and licenses in Navotas City will start on Jan. 3 to 20 in 2022, the local government announced on Friday, Dec. 24.
The local government unit urged the residents to process and settle their permits early, and reminded them about the “General Pandemic Amnesty” and “Pandemic Recovery Assistance” programs which were implemented in December 2021. The General Pandemic Amnesty Program waives all interests, penalties, and surcharges of taxpayers who were not able to renew their permits or pay taxes from Jan. 1, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2020.
Mayor Toby Tiangco also signed an ordinance implementing the Pandemic Recovery Assistance Program which grants a five-percent discount to business taxes, real property taxes, local and transfer taxes and other charges to taxpayers without delinquent accounts. It also gives exemptions to businesses with gross sales not exceeding P120,000 for the year 2021.
