‘We hate that policy’: Travel industry lashes out at tourism testing | hijessicayun

Travel agents and tourism association executives on Tuesday vented their frustrations about the uncertainty caused by ‘’ rules that vary between different jurisdictions, saying the rapidly changing rules have hamstrung the travel industry’s expected recovery.

“Borders may be open, but it’s still difficult for many people to move across borders because of testing requirements and delays in getting test results, which sometimes makes it virtually impossible to fit the travel in.”Australian Federation of Travel Agents boss Dean Long “Most importantly, it has dented confidence - again - in interstate travel, and that’s something we have to overcome,” he added.
