Can we work on our terminology? Its not a single income, it's a lower household income. Secondly, marriage doesn't guarantee two incomes, so why bash marriage? Many married couples are 'worse off' because they still only have 1 income, with multiple extra bodies at home.

They just don't want single income people buying homes because they deem them high risk. This article is skirting around the real issue, repeating the same scenario of 2 different people who are able to afford a house. They not just being outbid, they are being cancelled out.
