City attorney: Company overcharged for showers at Convention Center shelter for homeless during pandemic\r\nThe City Attorney's Office is suing United Site Services of California for allegedly charging “hundreds of thousands of dollars” more than usual for shower trailers for the homeless. Of course they did! The city was throwing money everywhere without oversight, just like the state with missing $20 billion in unemployment. The real surprise is the city found out and did something about it. waste corruption incompetence The City is just as guilty for the lack of oversight on this contract as the company is. Lol not many people or companies do impromptu showers for homeless. Give them a break. Did the City attorney get at least 3 quotes to make sure they were not getting ripped off?
