Legacy media outlets such as the Washington Post will continue to pester companies to denounce half of their customers, writes zacharyfaria.

The Washington Post needed two reporters to complain that “most of the video game industry’s biggest companies have remained conspicuously quiet” about the Supreme Court potentially overturning Roe. Those reporters contacted 20 major companies and pressured statements out of just two, Microsoft and scandal-ridden Activision Blizzard.

aware it’s largely bad faith, but the weirdest reaction I’ve seen to this piece is “why ask VIDEO GAME companies about this” or “next ask MARIO.” it’s like, you do know that *people* work for video game companies, right? and some of them have uteruses? wild to think about, I know CNBC recently did the same, trying to force Disney and other companies to talk about abortion, and Disney was pushed into a political fight with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over school issues.
