‘I’ve closed my laundry business. Thank you, Eskom’: The impact of blackouts on one small business

3N Laundromat in Springs has to close down due to Eskom’s electricity rationing, its owner says.Nolwazi Mbotheni, who owns the business, also had to close her bakery business due to load shedding.go to www.BusinessInsider.co.za3N Laundromat, a Springs-based small business, has been forced to close its doors due to Eskom’s most recent bout of load shedding, said owner Nolwazi Mbotheni.

Then load shedding impacted her income and made it impossible for her to provide all her laundry services to customers on time. With little to no income, Mbotheni could not keep up with rent and she couldn’t afford to buy a generator. The slow turnaround times also made it impossible for her to pay two of her staff members, who are breadwinners in their homes.

"I went from seeing 20 to 25 clients in my bakery a month to seeing about only two in the same period," she said.

Foolish. Why not invest in green energy to work. If your business makes above R30 000 per month. You are the one to be blame for not getting alternative power such as generator or solar

BISouthAfrica All the credit for closing down this business to the ANC ... not to Eskom.

BISouthAfrica Why cant IDCSouthAfrica DSBD_SA assist with a generator and fuel?

BISouthAfrica Everyone blames Eskom for the problems BUT IT'S THE ANC that caused this mess. Eskom is just in fix mode what the ANC broke. Blame them, they are getting off lightly here hiding behind Eskom.

BISouthAfrica I was scammed through Bitcoin couple of months ago, I started hating Bitcoin until I was introduced to Allison_Grillo, and I gave Bitcoin trading another try, I successfully withdrew $35,000 after two weeks of trading, am so grateful Allison_Grillo thank you.

BISouthAfrica Yes but as long as gwede and his mates get their coal and diesel contacts, it's all fine, right?

Everyone blames Eskom for the problems BUT IT'S THE ANC that caused this mess. Eskom is just in fix mode what the ANC broke. Blame them, they are getting off lightly here hiding behind Eskom.
