He says he has stomach problems 5 years on

A 46-year-old man who says he has had chronic wind since eating a ham sandwich at a Christmas market in 2017 is suing for £200,000. Tyrone Prades, 46, says he suffered severe cramps within hours of eating the sandwich and was left bedbound for five weeks.

Mr Prades ate the sandwich while visiting a Christmas market in Birmingham with his family, and says he quickly experienced stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea, a court was told. Lawyer Robert Parkin said Mr Prades still has chronic flatulence five years on, causing embarrassment and fatigue. The noise of his stomach keeps him awake, reports The Sun.

Mr Prades is suing operator Frankfurt Christmas Market Ltd for at least £200,000. Lawyers for the company say that council environmental health officers found no salmonella at the stall when it was closed for investigation and cleaning.
