As a result of publishing her e-book, Ronquillo-Morgan landed three recurring client contracts that have booked $19,000 in revenue, according to documents verified by Insider. "The stay-at-home orders meant that people were scrolling on social media a lot more, watching more ads, and buying more courses and programs online," she said, adding that she knew an informational e-book would be in line with what people were looking for.

"This is part of my sales funnel," she said, adding that she had"a series of steps that convert strangers into leads, and leads into clients." For the best conversion results, the e-book should be"short, highly actionable, and focused on a single topic," she said.Though the e-book and other social-media outreach are great ways to attract customers, it's important that she doesn't give away too much for free, Ronquillo-Morgan said.
