Justin Lindsey was looking for a novel way to reward workers who were “literally working 70 hours a week, week in and week out,” he recently told QSR magazine. The popular franchise was profitable and sales were robust but that was coming at the expense of staff burnout. So, early this year, Lindsey cooked up a new recipe for success: overhauling weekly schedules.
Although the majority of companies have been reluctant to change, some firms, and even some bosses, have urged flexibility as a way to entice and retain workers by offering them a better work-life balance. In his restaurant’s case, Lindsey said the three-day workweek allows his staff to plan lives outside of work in advance. “I think people want to work in this industry,” Lindsey said in the report.
you 'CAN'T' own a Chick-fil-A, only cost 10k to get a store which Chick-fil-A owns, You are the store manager who gets a cut of the profits. you can never sell your store it's not yours
Tragic. You 'maximize employment' by making people work on a 3 day, 14 hour/ week shift. you barely work for 4-1/2 hours a day for 3 days total. Unless the wages matches those hours, this is just wage slavery.
14-hour shift? That's insane and inhumane
14-hour workweek means you work 14 hours a week. Does your title match the article?
Can we get to the 4 day 10-hour shift workweek first?
I’ve worked 3 16’s in a row before. Not worth it. 4 10’s with 3 day weekends is the solution to productive morale.
JD541 I tbh would be so exhausted if I did this
So, regular nurse schedule?
Don’t work there regardless. You may look up why.
I would spend more money on my off days lol
But you're still making at or a bit above minimum wage. You will need another job to make ends meet. I can see though, how it would be appealing if you had to work 2 jobs and scheduling. I wouldn't praise this article and actually find it sad people have to work so many hours.
Does it include .. 15 minutes breaks every 2 hours, 2 - half hour lunch / dinner break ? Too many hours - that’s not work life balance …
now you're praising anti-lgbt pro-worker chick fil-a?
Interesting…
Did someone just 'invent' part-time?
God told him to do it.
