The Conference of Parties, also known as COP 27, is the decision-making body in charge of monitoring and reviewing the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change implementation.

It brings together 197 nations and territories – called Parties – that have signed on to the Framework Convention. Since 1995, the COP has met on an annual basis.
