Northern Youths Call For Removal Of Managing Director Of Nigerian Petroleum Company, NNPC's Subsidiary, Lawal Sade Over Biting Fuel ScarcityThis was disclosed in a letter addressed to the MD by the group secretary, James Ishaku, in which the northern youths alleged that due to the scarcity, independent marketers doubled the price of PMS, resulting in unnecessary inflation and poverty in the country.

The letter reads: “Sir, the Arewa Youths Alliance for Progress and Development , a network of 47 youths groups in Northern Nigeria, is saddened, to write and draw your attention to the continuous shortage of Premium of Motor Spirit in most part of the country, including the Nation's Capital. “Our group is particularly worried that the present round of the scarcity coincided with the Security advisory the United State Embassy in Nigeria gave to their citizens and workers on pending terrorists’ attacks on the nation capital. Assembling Nigerians daily on a spot in search on PMS amidst the present reality might lead to monumental damage should the advisory turns out to be true.

“Our group believes that you are extremely incompetent, hence, we wish to call on you to take the path of honour and resign, to pave way for a competent Nigerian to step into the shoes that seems bigger than your feet.
