The Integrated Bar of the Philippines will implement starting Dec. 1 “purely online” transactions with its finance department.
In a statement, the IBP said that payment for membership dues, requests for certificates of good standing, requests for certificates of no pending case, and applications for identification cards will be done online only. “Payment will be done through the myIBP or the BDO Bills Payment Facility,” and “no onsite transactions will be entertained at the IBP National Office,” it said.
The IBP explained that the online transaction “is part of the efforts to make services accessible for its members all over the country.” The IBP is the official organization of all lawyers in the country. It was organized in 1973 with the formation and election of its first chapter officers after the Supreme Court created on Oct. 5, 1970 the Commission on Bar Integration.
