The Thanksgiving holiday didn't stop a drug developer and an online lender from each raising a large new round.

The Bay Area venture industry didn't complete close shop for the Thanksgiving holiday, even if The Funded did.

Since the beginning of last week seven local startups announced they raised some $223 million combined in venture funding. Leading the pack were Rezo Therapeutics Inc. and Prosper Marketplace, a drug developer and an online lender, respectively, which each raised more than $75 million.Rezo Therapeutics Inc.,

San Francisco, $78 million: SR One, Andreesen Horowitz's Bio + Health group and Norwest Venture Partners led the Series A round for this drug developer. SV Angel, Liquid 2 Ventures and Hawktail also participated.San Francisco, $75 million: A Neuberger Berman fund invested in this online lender., $27 million: The OpenAI Startup Fund led the Series B round for this developer of an English speaking training app. Lachy Groom and Founders Fund also participated.
