The Malabon City government announced on Wednesday, Nov. 30, that the “Paskuhan Village,” the city’s first outdoor Christmas market, will open to the public on Dec. 1-31, as part of the its month-long activities for the holiday season.

The city government said that it organized the Paskuhan Village together with the Malabon Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide micro, small, and medium enterprises in the city an opportunity to showcase their products.

Visitors can check and buy the products of more than 25 vendors located along the C4 Road near the city hall while watching song and dance performances.The city will start its month-long Christmas festivities through a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Malabon Park in Barangay Tonsuya on Thursday, Dec. 1.

A light and sound display at the Malabon City Hall on Dec. 5 will highlight the city’s holiday festivities, the city governmnet said. A gift wrapping and choir contest will also be held on the same day. The city government said that admission to the Paskuhan Village and the park is free while visitors can join the raffle for P20 per ticket.

“This is our humble gift to all the families, a tradition we want to set for our children’s children to remember,” Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
