Under Sadler's leadership, Phoenix became the second city to host the nation's three largest sporting events in consecutive years, the 2015 Super Bowl, the 2016 College Football Playoff Championship, and the 2017 NCAA Men's Final Four.has contributed to the Valley’s economy and quality of life by attracting a slew of mega sporting events and works closely with the nine-member volunteer board of directors to achieve his goals.
“It’s exciting to operate in a space that has the potential to give so much back to the state of Arizona,” Sadler said. “I enjoy working with stakeholders and watching project progress from concept to completion.”I’m involved in overseeing all facets of AZSTA’s mission along with our board of directors. In addition, AZSTA and its board have been part of the leadership team that has worked on the Valley’s bids for mega sporting events. As for what the job entails— no two days are ever the same.
Regarding planning, we collaborate with Jay Parry, the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, the NFL, ASM Global, and other stakeholders on any stadium-related matters.We have our regularly scheduled events with Cardinals home games and the Fiesta Bowl hosting a College Football Playoff semifinal. We continue to execute those while preparing for the Super Bowl on Feb. 12. We’re fortunate to have hosted two Super Bowls in the stadium.
