'There's so many of those moments that are life changing moments for these women that on paper seems really small. It's, 'I now take myself seriously as an entrepreneur and I know that it's possible for me.''

Jenavi Kasper has a strong belief that entrepreneurship in the Valley needs to be"decolonized," meaning there needs to be more diversity in founders and leaders in terms of race, cultures and experiences.

"You have to find the leaders that are already within the community and give them access to the resources that they need to push those through to the people who need it the most," Kasper said."You really have to see the whole person and I think this applies to entrepreneurship in general. We are not just people who run businesses, we have whole lives that we have to consider and when you make a decision in your business, it's going to affect another part of your life.

"A lot of women I serve are parents, I bring my kids to events a lot of times," she said."If you want to serve the broadest population of entrepreneurs and you claim inclusivity is important to you and one of the fastest-growing pockets of people starting businesses are parents, men or women, then why are you not doing more to create opportunities for them to be in a space with their kids?"I wanted to give back, and a few years ago I learned about the Latina pay gap.
