Greens push for windfall tax on coal and gas companies

Greens Leader Adam Bandt speaks about his party’s demands for a windfall tax on coal and gas companies, as well as the Greens’ position on the government’s price caps.

“We want to see more money in people’s pockets, we want to see these coal and gas corporations paying more tax,” he said during a media conference on Tuesday. “And we want to see the government step in to help people replace their expensive-to-run appliances with cheaper, cleaner ones so that power bills stay down for a very long time.”
