Icy conditions in Prince George are preventing Waste Management trucks from emptying garbage and recycling containers.

Waste Management is urging business owners and property managers to clear snow and ice away from garbage containers, so that their trucks can access them.

Icy conditions in Prince George are preventing waste management trucks from accessing garbage and recycling containers in Prince George, a statement issued by the company on Wednesday said. “No one wants overflowing containers, especially over the holidays,” Waste Management operations director Matt Paden said in a statement released Wednesday. “Unfortunately, snow and ice can make it impossible for WM drivers to provide service. To ensure regular collection, we are asking businesses and property managers to keep areas clear and safe.”
