Many of the tech industry's newest hires aren't too concerned with recent layoffs as they say their new skills and connections put them on firmer footing. The weeks and months ahead will test their optimism.

This pic said a lot. The receptionist is indian, most likely she got in on a h4b visa through her spouse. She will then get into a lucrative job at Microsoft via her spouse even though she is not qualified for it. Microsoft is full of visa holders who do not qualify for the job

All these layoffs are happening to push wages down and put power back in the hands of employers They are laying off the people earning the highest salaries first Is a senior dev really worth 200k more a year plus benefits & stock options than a junior dev?
