'It is an increasingly dangerous time to be a member of the press,' writes Oliver Darcy | Analysis

In its annual report set to publish Tuesday morning, the Committee to Protect Journalists found that the number of journalists killed “increased sharply” in 2022, according to an advance copy of the report CNN has reviewed. In total, the press advocacy organization said a staggering 67 journalists and others in the media profession were killed worldwide last year. That figure is more than double what was reported in 2021, when 28 journalists were killed.

That number represented a 30-year high, and comes after last year’s report that also found a record number of journalists deprived of their freedom. It is no surprise that Ukraine was the deadliest country for journalists in 2022, with 15 members of the press killed in the war-torn country while covering Vladimir Putin’s brutal invasion.

How many died of Covid?

Killing journalists will never stop the truth

Perhaps you all should do actual journalism instead of shill for the Democrat Party.

Because you guys lost credibility. Leaning towards one party and spewing all lies. Now every time you report on anything, it’s scrutinized. The good old days of unbiased reporting is gone.

Report in a nonpartisan fashion. If not, no sympathy from me.

Press freedom is essential to democracy

Ever since the Federal government took over American journalism, it’s simply become a tool for political propaganda.

Yes, currently it is an increasing dangerous time for journalists. Thanks to the excellent work they are doing.

Just need to actually report the news

The press must be protected. These big press companies should start thinking of hiring private security firms because MAGA hate crimes are on the rise.

Oh well. No sympathy here for the liars

How Big Tech's pandemic bubble burst | CNN BusinessIn January 2021, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke in lofty terms about how the first year of the pandemic had sparked a staggering shift toward online services, benefiting his company in the process.
