CREB would be dissolved and its large office at 300 Manning Road N.E. would be sold in favour of two smaller satellite offices in different parts of the city. There would still be structure within AREA to allow for regional issues to be addressed through the creation of the CREB Foothills Region Council. However, all operational business would be consolidated under the provincewide body.

Tennant said opposition previously revolved around a system that was already working for the local sector and not wanting to mess with it. He said a different approach has been taken this time when it comes to engagement and dealing with issues.
