SpaceX has taken steps to prevent Ukraine's military from using the company's Starlink satellite internet service for controlling drones in the region during the country's war with Russia, SpaceX's president said

"We know the military is using them for comms, and that's ok," she said. "But our intent was never to have them use it for offensive purposes." Governments including the United States and France have paid for other shipments of Starlink terminals on top of those funded privately by SpaceX. Asked if SpaceX had anticipated Starlink's use for offensive purposes in Ukraine when deciding to ship terminals into conflict zones, Shotwell said: "We didn't think about it. Sad. Just sad...😔

Geopolitics_Emp Good.

Using drones linked by satellite, to defeat an invading army seems like a pretty good use of technology to me.

Are we talking about the same guy who deployed satellites for Ukraine when their internet was cut off by Russia? I guess Zele was too busy to disconnect from the Russian electric grid and forgot he depended on their internet

Lol 😂

hahhaha liars spacex, starlink, tesla = US military, using commercial companies as cover

This happens when somebody succeeds in one sector and all of a sudden he thinks he knows it all. Hope his Rocket blows up.

NEWSFLASH: The US is at war with Russia too, without the requisite Congressional Declaration of War. Lawlessness is rampant.

No doubt whose side Musk is on. Such a loser.

1 year later

Why america doesn’t allow aids to enter to Syria ?

It’d be a real shame if more Starlink satellites accidentally got lost.😐

💩🖕

So, you guys are clearly losing control of the narrative and honestly, it's really nice and fun to watch. What's next? Try your best; It will not work. Nature (=God?) always finds a way…😉👍

Why, are they worried that Putin won't want to buy their products in the future, if he's still around! SpaceX and Starlink need to think more about Ukrainian freedom than future profits.

Elon has allot of blood on his hands!

How much has russia paid elonmusk ? Some of Twitter debt? Eh? What a disgrace!

Fair enough.

Companies will be Companies and countries will be countries.
