Intel is the latest company to slash its dividend. Yet many more are expected to raise payouts. Here's what to look for and where else you can find income.

On Wednesday, Intel announced it was slashing its dividend by nearly 66%, to 12.5 cents per share from 36.5 cents. The new annualized dividend yield is 4.20%, down from 7.13%.
