Here's the thing about Netflix though. They have like a Walmart effect on the korean entertainment industry. Like Walmart is known to move into a area, they undercut rivals on price then when the competition is gone then they can raise prices or do whatever they want. Netflix comes in, pumps millions into the korean entertainment industry. Korean producers get more freedom but it weakens indigenous networks like KBS, SBS, maybe even tvN or JTBC at some point.
Well its like how the mom and pop stores aren't as cheap or as convenient as Walmart but if all the mom and pop stores die and Walmart is a monpoly that's not good for the society. Netflix is a disruptive american monopolistic force and they're backed by huge investors money so they're going to disrupt korean entertainment industry for the worse.
