“There has been academic work out there that showed that it was possible, but no one really brought it to production. And the reason for that is because these sensors venerate an insane amount of dat—like terabytes a day,” said Doumet, in an interview. B.C.’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy has set aside $10 million to reduce plastic pollution in the province.
