KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 — Umno vice president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani wants Malaysians to put aside their political affiliations and focus on finding ways to improve the nation’s food security, education levels and ensure job opportunities for struggling Malaysians.
Johari, a former finance minister, also said the Malaysian economy must be capable of bringing in lots of foreign investments and the only way to achieve this is by improving investor confidence in Malaysia’s capability. “They will in turn create jobs for the people and we as the government will tax them for the fruits of their labour. This is one way to generate income for the government.
Johari said if Malaysia wants to impress investors from overseas the education system must be improved.
