Swimply announced it is expanding its rental offerings to include sports courts like pickleball, basketball and tennis.The company that brought you Airbnb for pools is now offering pickleball, basketball and tennis courts for rent., a company that launched in 2018 as a booking site for private pools, launched sports court rentals in several markets: Houston, Austin, New York, Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
In a press release, the company said this expansion was a logical step after disrupting the $15 billion private pool industry. "The launch of pickleball court rentals is a game-changer for communities that lack access to recreational spaces," Swimply Founder and CEO Bunim Laskin said."Our mission has always been about democratizing access to exclusive spaces and creating positive social impact, and we believe that court rentals are a natural extension of that vision."
More than 200 listings can be found for pools in the Houston area on the Swimply site, starting at $20/hour.
