A woman went from working in a tiny room of a beauty salon to establishing a booming business of her own.
She was soon offered a job in a Bebington beauty salon in 2015, a role she thrived in and quickly outgrew. Leona said: “I started in a little room in a beauty salon. But soon it was too small, so I decided five years ago to open up my own salon.” She said: “I opened up another business during lockdown, it was a fluke, it was never meant to be a business. I’d just send little pick-me-up cheese boxes to my friends and leave them at the door.”
Thankfully, word of mouth spread quickly, which Leona credits to the area. She said: “Girls in Merseyside take pride in their appearance. It’s a good place to be.”
