BMW Philippines launches a new value-oriented variant of its 3 Series sedan: the 318i Business for P 3.590-million—P 200,000 lower than the 318i Sport.
The BMW 318i Business shares the same 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine with the 318i Sport. This means a healthy 156 horsepower from 4,500 to 6,500 rpm and 250 Nm from 1,300 to 4,300 rpm. It also has the very same transmission—an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The big change is that the BMW 318i Business makes do without the standard M Aerodynamic package and swaps out the BMW Individual Shadow Line for Satin Aluminum. Inside, the mesh-effect aluminum trim has been replaced with high-gloss black ones. It also loses the three-zone climate control and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Those omissions aside, the BMW 318i Business has the same Vernasca leather upholstery, sport seats for the front passengers, electric seat adjustment for the driver with memory, and a power trunk. It also has 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, a rear camera, and automatic parking assist as standard.
