European Union investment in the UK slid while North American firms snapped up more of British businesses in 2021, according to official data.
North American companies controlled £868.9 billion of UK firms through foreign direct investment, or FDI, figures released Tuesday by the Office for National Statistics showed. This was up £103.2 billion, or 13.5%, on a year earlier.
