The company was founded in 2020 by four siblings, Lamar, Alonza, Monica, and Whitney, they have just recently opened a storefront in the Northside as a legacy to their parents. Their mother brought cookies to work for a potluck around 1975 and her co-workers loved them so much, they offered to pay her to make more. Their father, who served on the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue department for over 32 years, was known as the cookie man.
Monica Anderson says they bake cookies in small batches and homemade. Their flavors include oatmeal with nut, which is their all-time best seller. They also bake oatmeal with raisin, chocolate chip with and without nuts, peanut butter, peanut butter dipped in chocolate and their newest cookie, the ginger molasses cookie.
They also serve cupcakes in classic flavors with a southern flair: red velvet, hummingbird, carrot, cookie butter, cookies and cream. You can also treat yourself to their pies and brownies. Anderson says, “people tell us all the time it really tastes like something their grandma made, and we love hearing that because that is definitely what we stand for.”
