Bedrock real estate company -- which owns Cleveland's Tower City -- has recruited some of Northeast Ohio's best black-owned businesses to open in the downtown mall. But it isn't enough to entice them downtown. Bedrock believes in providing guidance and support to make sure the businesses --and the mall -- florishes.

His business has grown so much since moving to the downtown mall, he is tripling the square footage of his store. “I would love to say, ‘It just happened that way,’ but the reality is that we prospect what we see as the very best of Northeast Ohio,” said Russell. “We spend a lot of time looking at who has great potential but doesn’t have a location downtown. We are excited that we have become an incubator to help entrepreneurs really succeed.
