Pence praised the efforts by House Republicans to investigate Biden and his son Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings while Joe Biden served as vice president, claiming it is a"benefit to the nation" that House Republicans are"following the facts." The inquiry would be related to the foreign business dealings.
"There are so many questions about Joe Biden’s involvement and connection to his son’s businesses when he was vice president of the United States," Pence said."I must say, you know, I can’t relate. When I was vice president, my son wasn’t sitting on the board of foreign corporations, he was sitting in the cockpit of the F-35 and flying for the Marine Corps."
Pence claimed the possible impeachment proceedings against the president are different than when then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi launched impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump in 2019 and 2021. He was impeached but acquitted by the Senate in each case.
