The Hollywood strikes continue, with one of the key issues in negotiations being the use of artificial intelligence. VFX platform Wonder Dynamics is using AI to help filmmakers create effects at lower prices. Wonder Dynamics Founder and Actor Tye Sheridan joins Yahoo Finance Live to discuss the platform and AI in the entertainment industry.
Wonder Studio is trying to “give filmmakers a chance to achieve these effects at a much lower cost point using AI machine learning models,” Sheridan says. On concerns about using AI to replace actors, Sheridan says “the industry has to be respectful to the artists' process.” Sheridan adds that “we tend to focus on where AI poses a threat to us, as we should be concerned, but I think we should also be emphasizing how much it can help us.”to watch this full episode of Yahoo Finance Live.
