The partnership will allow Lime bike riders to round up the cost of their rides and donate to Emmanuel House

An e-bikes company has partnered up with a Nottingham charity dedicated to fighting homelessness. Lime, the world's largest shared electric vehicle company - has announced its partnership with Emmanuel House as part of the company's Lime Hero program in Nottingham.

The news comes as recent research from charity Shelter found that Nottingham has the highest rate of homelessness in the East Midlands, a number that Emmanuel House works tirelessly to decrease. During the first three months of the year, Emmanuel House saw a 48 per cent increase in beneficiaries visiting the Support Centre, providing 754 meals, 57 hot showers and 96 appointments supporting people with health, homelessness, housing and benefits related issues.

"The initiative will raise vital funds that will contribute to the running of Emmanuel House, which supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Nottingham. We rely on the support of our community to continue this work and we’re so grateful to Lime for joining us in tackling homelessness in the city.”

Alice Pleasant, Public Affairs Manager at Lime, said: “At Lime, we remain committed to supporting all of the communities that we operate in. That’s why Lime is honoured to be supporting Emmanuel House in Nottingham with our latest Lime Hero partnership which aims to help raise funds for those facing crisis in the city.
