Aldi's wagyu sirloin steak has bagged itself five medals in the annual World Steak Challenge including the gold medal for 'specially selected wagyu sirloin steak' – the only English steak to win a gold medal.

Aldi's specially selected wagyu sirloin steak scored higher than entries from supermarket competitors Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons and Asda, as well as premium beef suppliers from across the globe.
In addition to Aldi’s gold medal-winning sirloin steak, the British beef wagyu ribeye steak was also awarded a silver medal, and its British beef wagyu fillet steak took home bronze.
