Rochester, N.Y. — A new partnership is working to increase social equity and inclusivity in New York's adult-use cannabis market.

Six local groups are teaming up to host an eight-week cannabis incubator program. It will help people apply for the state's adult-use application, while providing opportunities for business development through a wide range of resources and opportunities for collaboration. "It's allowing people to take what they're already doing and move that into a legal market to provide generational wealth and access to their community, as a means of restoring Rochester, as a means of making Rochester better, but also as a means of coming out of the shadows," said Brandi Hester Harrell ofThe program will officially launch at the Science of Cannabis Symposium being held this Saturday at Monroe Community College's downtown campus.
