The federal government is looking to crack down on fake reviews for products and services you buy online. The Federal Trade Commission is proposing a new rule to help consumers make better decisions.

The rise of fake reviews continues; now companies are asking consumers to remove their negative reviews. But experts warn those seemingly honest reviews are often saturated with fakery, with small business owners and consumers left to deal with the consequences of buying a potentially shoddy product.
