KUALA LUMPUR: An IT company has laid claim to the half-a-million ringgit kept inside a suitcase that was left at a shopping mall, but its director has yet to come forward to provide proof.
However, he claimed that the 40-something director had not done so and informed the police that he was ill, in addition to having to attend meetings. On Wednesday, a suitcase containing over RM500,000 in cash in denominations of RM10, RM50 and RM100 was found at the car park of a shopping centre in Damansara.
Comm Hussein said yesterday that the claimant had lodged a police report in Shah Alam. He stated that the length of the investigation would depend on the proof the company submitted.
