When you look at big scale art pieces, have you ever thought, ‘how are these things made?” We found the answer!

New Insider Deals are here, and you’re going to love them!? They’re a local design and fabrication firm with a national reputation as a leader in the production of exhibitions, site amenities, public art, hospitality design, and brand activations – meaning -- they create some pretty cool stuff!

rootlab has played a key role in aspects of design, engineering, fabrication and the installation of many notable local projects, like Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Matter and Motion: Quantum Chemistry to Astrophysics, and even their sharks exhibition, a recording booth for the popular Song Confessional podcast, and Giant Leap Coffee’s Uptown Park location, just to name a few.

They’re currently designing an art car for Great Wolf Lodge to be used this month’s Art Car Parade, and have been tapped to fabricate Meow Wolf’s fifth permanent exhibition -- which is coming later this year. rootlab’s 45,000-square-foot studio is home to their KUKA robotic arm – only one of a few in Texas – which creates many different designs in many different sizes.
