A businesses license for the Days Inn on Highway 231 in Ozark could be revoked and a public hearing on the matter is set for May 21.

OZARK -

Citing multiple violations of the International Fire Code, police response to repeated calls of drug-related offenses and acts of violence, and violation of the license terms to include renting rooms for “periods of time” instead of renting rooms by the day, Adams’s notice calls the motel “a clear and present danger to the safety of the citizens of Ozark and the visitors of our city who occupy” the motel.

Adams said that Namaste Hospitality, LLC, doing business as Days Inn on Highway 231 in Ozark, was notified after a Feb. 14, 2023 occupancy inspection that several violations of the International Fire Code were discovered to include exit sign and emergency lighting violations, failure to illuminate means of egress, defective fire alarm panel, and failure of rooms to have working smoke detectors. The company was given 45 days to correct the violations and they have not been corrected, Adams said.
