The 20th annual Farmer’s Market at the Shoppes at EastChase kicked off Saturday morning in Montgomery. The EastChase Farmers Market has grown every year and is now one of the top five largest markets in Alabama. Several popular farms returned to the market with locally grown products, including everything from fresh eggs, and homemade jellies and jams, to locally grown honey and the best boiled peanuts around! There were also some new, fun vendors to try.
Sidney Carol Barnhardt is a Marketing Associate with EastChase and says, “Just this morning we’ve had so many people come out to EastChase to tell us that they’ve been counting down the days till the farmer’s market. It’s a family tradition for a lot of river region families to come out here every Saturday morning to get their fresh produce and veggies and fruits, and to also shop around with some other vendors.
