Family foundation connected to Manitoulin Transport honoured for their contributions to Sudbury college

Cambrian College in Sudbury is renaming its school of business in honour of the Douglas A. Smith Family Foundation.

The Douglas A. Smith Family School of Business honours the legacy of the Smith family, founders of Manitoulin Transport, said the release. Launched in 1960 by Douglas A. Smith, Manitoulin Transport began with a single license and has since grown into a global leader in transportation and logistics, said the college release.

"Our partnership with Cambrian College reflects our shared commitment to innovation and seizing opportunities," said Jeff Smith, vice-chair of Manitoulin Transport and former chair of Cambrian College’s Board of Governors.
