Today, Xiaomi Malaysia announced its first-ever Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo for the market. As the name suggests, the earbuds have an open-ear design and are currently priced at RM599.
The earbuds feature Hi-Res audio with a 17x12mm dynamic driver and DLC diaphragm. According to Xiaomi, this improves the accuracy and quality of sound produced, providing detailed treble, mellow and full midrange, and powerful bass performance. Additionally, the LHDC high resolution and low latency codec supports up to 96kHz HD audio and passes Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification.
Although it is an open-ear design, the OpenWear Stereo is also equipped with advanced AI noise cancellation for calls, ensuring crystal-clear communication even in noisy environments. It is also sturdy thanks to the flexible nickel-titanium memory alloy and backed up by an IP54 dust and water-resistant rating. On a single charge, users can enjoy up to 7.5 hours of music playback or up to 38.5 hours with the charging case.
Smart touch control is also present and can even take photos and other functions via pairing with a phone. This requires Xiaomi HyperOS which also works on other HyperOS tablets and other devices. Lastly, the audio sharing function and active listening for balancing environmental sounds are available on the earbuds.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo comes in two colours – Cosmic Gray and Sandstone Beige. The earbuds can be purchased now on online platforms, at mi.com and the official Xiaomi stores on Shopee and Lazada. While the official price is RM599, shoppers can enjoy exclusive early bird promotions of the earbuds for RM499 from now till 22 July 2024.
