A new outdoor market, based in Stanley Park, is preparing to launch and operate weekly throughout the summer months. Every Wednesday, running from 24 July to 4 September, 9am to 3pm, people will be able to find a huge variety of products from independent traders. Located in the car park closest to Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Road stand, around 50 stalls will be available selling a huge variety of products from fashion, homeware, accessories, crafts and fresh produce.
It is the City Council’s first weekday, outdoor retail market for a number of years and it is hoped the seven-week trial run will be a huge success and potentially return at a later date to be a regular community activity. Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, said: 'There’s a real buzz around our markets offer at the moment.
